200g frozen cherries, thawed
1/2 tsp sweetener
2 tsp cherry brandy or kirsch
1 level tbsp cherry conserve
2 soft amaretti biscuits, crushed
200g ready-made low-fat custard
4 tbsp fat-free natural fromage frais, sweetened with sweetener to taste
Fresh cherries (or thawed or frozen cherries), to decorate
1) Put the thawed cherries, sweetener, brandy or kirsch and conseve in a bowl and stir well.
2) Divide three-quarters of the crushed amaretti biscuits between 4 dessert glasses. Top each with a quarter of the cherry mixture, followed by a quarter of the custard and a dollop of fromage frais.
3) Divide the remaining crushed biscuits evenly over each trifle. Decorate with fresh cherries and chill until ready to serve.
